Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

TimFuzail (operating as Amoled.in) built the Amoled.in app as a freemium app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, when you use the Amoled.in app for iOS and Android (the "App") and our website at https://amoled.in (the "Site"). Together these are referred to as the "Service".

By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service. Terms used here have the same meaning as in our Terms and Conditions unless defined otherwise below.

Platform note — please read first. The iOS app does not display ads and does not track you. It contains no advertising SDK, never reads your Advertising Identifier (IDFA), never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission (it has nothing to ask permission for), and sends no push notifications. Nothing the iOS app collects is combined with third-party data for advertising, and nothing is shared with a data broker. The Android app does display ads and does send push notifications. Wherever this policy mentions advertising identifiers, personalized advertising, ad networks, or push notifications, that describes the Android app and the Site only.

1. Who We Are

Write to us at the email address above with any question or request about this policy or your personal data. We aim to respond within 30 days.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information (only if you sign in)

The App is fully usable without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive the following from your Google account and store it on our own servers at backend.amoled.in:

We use this only to identify your account and to back up your favourite wallpapers, so you do not lose them when you change phones or reinstall the App. We do not receive or store your Google password. We do not sell this information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.

2.2 Purchase Information

Amoled.in is a freemium app. If you buy a subscription or upgrade, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment details. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, not to your Amoled.in account.

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

The following is collected by us or by the third-party services listed in Section 5:

2.4 Photos You Choose to Use

The App can apply an AMOLED effect to a photo you pick. Photo selection and processing happen entirely on your device. Your photo library is never uploaded to our servers, and we do not scan or index it. We request photo access only to (a) let you pick an image you explicitly choose, and (b) save wallpapers you download back to your library.

2.5 Website Log Files

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs recording IP address, browser type, Internet Service Provider, date and time stamp, referring and exit pages, and click counts. These are used for security, site administration, and aggregate traffic analysis.

2.6 Cookies

Cookies are small data files commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers, sent to your browser by the websites you visit and stored on your device. The App itself does not use cookies. In the Android app, third-party advertising libraries use cookies and similar device identifiers to collect information and measure their services; the iOS app contains no advertising libraries. On the Site, you can accept or refuse cookies through your browser settings; refusing them may limit some functionality.

2.7 What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, SMS messages, call logs, calendar data, health data, biometric data, or financial account details.

3. Permissions Used by the App

PermissionWhy we request itRequired?
Photo Library (read) To let you pick a photo to convert into an AMOLED wallpaper. Processing is on-device only. Optional
Photo Library (add) To save wallpapers you download into your photo library. Optional
Notifications (Android only) To alert you about new wallpapers in categories you follow. The iOS app sends no push notifications. Optional
App Tracking Transparency (iOS) Never requested. The iOS app does not track you, so it has no reason to show this prompt and does not include the framework. Not used
Internet / Network access To load wallpapers and deliver updates — and, in the Android app only, to serve advertisements. Required

You can revoke any optional permission at any time in your device settings. Declining one only disables the related feature — the rest of the App keeps working.

4. How We Use Your Information

Legal Bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (personalized advertising and push notifications — Android only; analytics); contractual necessity (creating your account and backing up your favourites at your request); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, error diagnostics, basic operation of the Service); and legal obligation where required by law. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

5. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We employ the third-party services below to operate the Service, analyse how it is used, and serve advertising. These providers have access only to the data listed, only to perform tasks on our behalf, and are obliged not to use it for any other purpose. Rows marked (Android only) are not present in the iOS app.

Google Analytics for Firebase Usage analytics App instance ID, device information, in-app events. In the iOS app, the ad-related consent signals (ad storage, ad user data, ad personalization) are disabled, vendor-identifier collection is switched off, and the app is built against the variant of the library that omits advertising-identifier support entirely — so this data is not used for advertising and no advertising identifier is read. firebase.google.com/support/privacy

The App also uses Kingfisher to cache wallpaper images on your device. It stores images locally only and transmits no personal data.

We may also disclose information where required to comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public. If Amoled.in is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we will notify you before your personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Advertising Identifiers

In the Android app, third-party advertising vendors, including Google, use cookies and device identifiers to serve ads based on your prior use of our Service and other apps and websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by Google at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of participating vendors at optout.aboutads.info. This does not apply to the iOS app, which serves no ads and shares no identifier with any advertising vendor.

6. Your Advertising Choices

7. Data Retention

We may keep limited records for longer where required by law or to resolve disputes.

8. Account and Data Deletion

You can delete your account and its data at any time:

What is deleted: your name, email address, Google account identifier, backed-up favourites, and push subscription record (Android) — permanently, within 30 days.

What is retained: anonymized, aggregated analytics that can no longer identify you, and any transaction records we are legally required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.

Uninstalling the App does not by itself delete data already stored on our servers. Please use one of the methods above.

9. Security

We value your trust in providing us your personal information and use commercially acceptable means to protect it, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, transfers are made under Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13, or under the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction (such as 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under that age.

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we delete it from our servers immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, contact us at [email protected] so we can take the necessary action.

The App is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme or Apple's Kids Category, and does not target children.

12. Your Privacy Rights

12.1 EEA, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)

You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, receive your data in a portable format, withdraw consent at any time, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

12.2 California (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed; to delete it; to correct inaccurate information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. In the Android app, sharing an advertising identifier with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may qualify as "sharing" under the CPRA; to opt out, use the controls in Section 6 or email us. The iOS app does no cross-context behavioral advertising and shares no identifier for that purpose.

12.3 India (DPDP Act)

If you are in India, you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, to nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf, and to grievance redressal. Contact us at [email protected].

12.4 Other Jurisdictions

Residents of regions with comparable privacy laws, including Brazil (LGPD) and Canada (PIPEDA), may have similar rights. Contact us to exercise them.

To make any request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

13. Links to Other Sites

The Service may contain links to other sites. If you click a third-party link you will be directed to that site. These external sites are not operated by us, so we strongly advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party site or service.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, so you are advised to review this page periodically. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. For material changes we will provide additional notice in the App where appropriate.
